The End...

WE HAD OUR BABY!!!

Here's the Story:

I had my last appointment with the PA on Wed. 7/8... I was dilated to a 4 and 80% effaced... i felt like a ticking time bomb...

On Friday (my birthday) Coleman and his mom went in on a spa day for me... I got a facial, pedicure, and massage.... It was FABULOUS! : ) well the massage lady said she could induce my labor by pressure points, so we tried it... Well... I started having contractions at 2:30pm (half way into the massage...) and they continued... so finally at about 9pm (when my contractions were 3 mins apart, and had been for 2 hours!) I decided we should go to the hospital... My cervix hadn't changed, so they determined false labor and sent me home...i still had contractions until about 2:30-3am...

Saturday was fairly uneventful... i had some contractions here and there, nothing regular...

Sunday (July 12th) i woke up and felt sick... nauseated... I was having a few contractions... but mostly just sore... I hung around the house all day, and did nothing. Coleman had been gone for the week-end for the National Guard and came home at about 4pm... His fire department pager went off at 5, so he went running out the door... well... that's when I started peeing my pants... and Cash woke up from his nap right then... so i went downstairs to get him... I got back upstairs just as I peed my pants again... I walked into the bathroom to change my clothes and that's when the dam broke! I realized when I had no control that my water had broken... that's when i kinda freaked... Coleman was on the Fire Truck, so i didn't have a way to get a hold of him... So i grabbed my last minute stuff, and Cash and drove myself to the Fire station... where i was able to let someone know to tell Coleman...

So then we went to the hospital... Dr L. was already there and i had already called him so they were getting my room ready... Coleman came in 5 minutes after me... still sporting his fire gear...

His mom came 5 minutes after that to take Cash... and there we were! Ready for baby!

Dr L. checked me and i was a 5, and 90.... i was starting to have some contractions (the real ones this time!) and they got my IV going... I was Group B Strep positive with this baby so they wanted to get 2 doses of antibiotics in me before they started the pitocin to get my contractions going... so they got the 1st of the antibiotics in me at 6:15, and just waited... they set me up with my epidural (which actually worked this time!) and my contractions were going pretty good on my own by about 8 pm... They started my pitocin at 9:30, gave me the second dose of antibiotics at 10pm, and then let the pitocin FLY! Cashie came back and was VERY excited to see the baby!rting to feel the down pressure... they checked me and i was a 6... i had 2 good contractions, and she checked me again.. i was an 8! Dr L. was already on his way back to the hospital... and when he got there he checked me and said "you're ready! 2 pushes is all this will take..."

He was right! The man knows whats up... but i guess this wasn't his first delivery... :) I love him!

Coleman gowned up and helped/delivered this baby... 2 pushes, and NO tearing!!YAY!

As soon as she started to cry i heard cash in the hallscreaming "baby! baby!" I guess they tried to hold him back, but he came running in a few minutes later and Coleman grabbed him and they watched while they weighed and took care of her...

They brought her back to me... she is so beautiful! We love her so much and cashie does too! He can't stop kissing her... and he loves to hold her! She is so sweet!

She loves to suck on her fingers! She is a great little eater! We've had so much fun with her this week!
Our little family! We love you baby Presley Jane! And we are so excited tohave you with us!

She weighed 7 pounds even, and was 20.5 inches long... she is so special to us! Thanks sweet baby for coming 2 and a half weeks early! :)

Dr Appointment Today

Babies heart rate was good, and i my belly measured right on... I got to do my Group B Strep today... which is always awkward... But i had Dr L. check my cervix, and I am dilated to a 3!!! Yay! Hopefully this baby will come sooner rather than later!

The crib set i started 3 months ago and my grandma helped me finally finish:

I am excited aboutthis crib set, because itis girly! I rearranged the furniture... and Cash's old room suddenly feels like not his room anymore... I am excited that my grandma helped me with it... makes it an heirloom... we hand quilted the blanket, and she hand stitched around the entire bottom of the bumper... the sheet, extra blankie, and dust ruffle we bought at target. It was a funproject, and even more fun now that it's over!
So excited to see you, Presley! Get here soon!

NST - 35 weeks today

I went in and had a Non-Stress Test this morning... just because this baby has slowed on her movement so much... And it was Great! Everything looked good... I lost my mucous plug last week and I was having uterine irritability on the monitor... so maybe i will go into labor soon! :)

I had some good contractions and down pressure last night... nothing regular... but good enough that i would bet it helped things along...

I am feeling pretty good... just have a lot of last minute things to get done! :)

32 weeks!

So... here we are down to the last LONG 8 weeks! Wow! The time has sure gone by quickly...It is comforting to know though that she would be fine on the outside at this point...but i don't want a NICU baby...so she can just stay put! haha!
Lately it seems like i am just waiting for this baby to get here. Everything is just starting to feel like a way to pass time until she gets here... I feel like nothing is going on...although i think i am always busy... maybe just nothing worth blogging about! It's getting more challenging to get everyday stuff done... it'll be nice to be able to bend over again without gasping for air!

Cash talks about the baby all the time, and whenever we go to my Doctor's, or the bank (which is right by my doctor's office) he gets all excited and says "Baby! YAY!" with his little arms in the air... so sweet. He recently decided he likes talking about her... we'll see how he feels when she's actually here...

Just got done with a little blankie for her... i made cashie a rag quilt too... and if anyone has seen it let me know! Cause we haven't for a really long time!

(It says "For my sweet baby Presley, Love Mommy")

And to those who didn't know...we are naming her Presley...now that this Blankie is done, it is set in stone! haha! because i'm not making another one... or fixing it for that matter...

Just a few more weeks until we get to hold you! yay!

Dr Appointment...

My last appointment was last wednesday, and all is well... I have come down a pound since my last appointment 3 weeks ago... she's getting bigger by the minute it seems like now... and i am able to really feel where she is now (head-down, her bum and legs are IN my ribcage... but that's going to get worse before better!) I am overall enjoying this pregnancy... just getting sore, and retaining buckets of water!

And getting really excited to see her tiny face....

Dr Appointment Yesterday, Start of 3rd trimester

I got to do my Glucose test yesterday... That makes it sound so much more pleasant! It wasn't bad, just chugged the drink, and they stuck my finger an hour later. You are supposed to be under 135, and I was 90! YAY! I smoked that test! with cash I got a 146, and I had to do the 3 hour test fasting... so I was worried I would have to do that. That drink is a lot crappier on an empty stomach. My belly measured 27 weeks, and her heartbeat was great! It's always so nice to hear!

I had put on another 6 pounds since LAST MONDAY! I can't believe what is going on. I am almost to my delivery weight with cash... i don't even want to talk about it. I cried about it yesterday! haha.. crazy hormones, but i am just concerned about the way everything is going. I am worried for the baby. Hopefully all will be well. I just need to watch my salt intake, and be careful about what I am eating.

I'm sure stress has a role in it all. Funny how life is! who has NO stress?!?! what would that pregnancy be like? Life is really pretty good. Even with Coleman getting laid-off. We really have been so blessed and i am so grateful to be in the position we are in. We have definitley been prepared for this to happen. So I can't complain too much. We just need to know the right things to do now.

We are passed the 4 week appointments now too, so my next is in 3 weeks... crazy! Just getting closer.
